Digital Library Marketing: The Freedom Suits

Last week, I wrote a post about marketing digital library collections. Today, I want to share a great example of using video and Youtube to reach users and communicate the intention of your collection. The video is about the St. Louis Freedom Suits Legal Encoding Project, which I worked on while at Washington University in St. Louis. However, if videos aren’t your thing, you may read more about the project here.

Using video offers a different way to interact with your users. You can incorporate images from your collection, interviews, voice overs, and demonstrate how the collection works. Most importantly, other people can embed your video on their blogs and websites, which will give you a greater reach.

What are some other examples of digital library / humanities projects producing videos about their collections?
